On September 23rd, at the China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition (BICES 2025), Cummins officially unveiled new low-carbon powertrain solutions for the off-road market. These include a next-generation excavator hydraulic system with an intelligent control system, 3.9-15L hybrid powertrains, and a 19L methanol industrial engine. These innovative technologies empower the Chinese construction machinery industry and contribute to a sustainable local ecosystem.
Cummins also continues to advance customized services tailored to the needs of the Chinese market. Targeting local mining customers’ core requirements for efficiency, cost, and reliability, Cummins has established a local closed-loop system for the R&D, design, and innovation of high-horsepower products in China, encompassing a complete process from parts supply to service support. Cummins comprehensively showcased the latest progress in localizing its entire line of mining power products, covering displacements from 19 to 60L and horsepower from 600 to 3,000hp. These products meet China III to China IV, as well as European and American Stage II to Stage V emission standards. These products are a key player in regions with strict, relaxed, or even no emission regulations.
2025 marks Cummins’ 50th anniversary in China. This not only represents an upgrade to the past half century of technological innovation and market practice in the construction machinery sector, but also represents a key step in advancing Cummins’ Destination Zero strategy in China.
